How we review material information
A simple discipline: keep evidence, the product actually supplied, and the circumstances of use visible as separate things.

Evidence
What does a source actually support? At what scope, under which conditions, and with what limits?
Product
What is being supplied now? Species, grade, profile, finish, process, source record and batch information belong here.
Context
Where and how will it be used? Site, exposure, design, installation, maintenance and priorities affect the decision.
A fact in one layer does not automatically prove a claim in another. A species property is not a batch test. A standard entry is not an installation warranty. A legal forestry pathway is not proof of the source of timber unless the current record is linked to the product offered.

Claims stay attached to what was reviewed

We do not move a claim down this ladder without evidence. This is why some apparently simple marketing phrases are withheld while the underlying product record is still being completed.
Public language
What our status words mean
- Reviewed
- The source and the wording have been checked at the stated scope.
- Context matters
- The statement is useful only with particular conditions or project information.
- Limited evidence
- The available support is narrow, preliminary or not product-specific.
- In progress
- The record is being assembled and should not yet be treated as complete.
- Open question
- A known gap that should remain visible rather than being filled with an assumption.
Editorial standard
What we will and will not publish
We prefer primary law, standards, government guidance and independent research. Industry and supplier material can add context, but its role is stated. Private source details stay private. Material uncertainty stays visible.
We do not publish a ranking merely because a buyer wants a quick answer. We do not turn internal notes, supplier language, search snippets or generated summaries into evidence. We do not present a recommendation before the relevant project context is understood.
